Medium – term loans

Characteristics and advantages of the loan:

  1. It includes establishing and developing projects and activities such as (greenhouses- livestock- poultry – fishery- agricultural processing– apiaries- improving irrigation systems- agricultural machinery– developing rural, environmental and service activities …….etc.
  2. The finance granted ranges between 50% and 75% of the investment costs of the activity or the project or according to the lending categories approved by ABE Board of Directors whichever is less. The term of the loan, the grace period and repayment of installments are determined according to the results of the credit studies.

Required Documents:

  1. A Copy of the land’s ownership documents on which the project will be established or a valid leasing contract.
  2. A copy of the valid national ID card of the applicant and the guarantor (if any).
  3. The approval of establishing the project from the competent authorities in the agricultural administration or the agricultural directorate (or others according to the type of activity).
  4. Price statement of machines, equipment and apparatus to be financed (for construction or expansion).

Short- term loans

Characteristics and advantages of the loan:

  1. Financing the outstanding projects such as: livestock, poultry, fishery, the agri businesses, rural development, marketing agricultural crops, agricultural processing and agricultural machinery.
  2. The finance granted ranges between 50% and 75% of the investment cost of the activity or according to the lending categories determined by ABE whichever is less.
  3. The maturity of the facility is 12 months.

Required Documents

  1. Agricultural holding card.
  2. A copy of agricultural holding card/ agricultural services card.
  3. A copy of valid national ID card of the loan applicant and the guarantor (if any).
  4. A copy of the activity license, commercial register, tax card…etc (for productive projects), provided that it is valid or renewed during the period of credit facility.
  5. The approval of establishing the project from the competent authorities in the agricultural administration or the agricultural directorate (or others according to the type of activity).
